Is a chicken worth 115 Euro???
Le Coq Rico did not disappoint. I would defiantly spend 115 euro on their heritage bred birds. They cook the birds the Baeckeoffe way, which is slow cooking for three hours in a bakers oven preserveing the natural flavor and texture of the poultry.
We began our chicken journey with the deviled eggs, they were smooth & velvety with a delightful flavor. Then the star of the restaurant came to the table-The Bird-crispy skinned and tender to the bite, heaven to the tongue. The whole bird was the perfect amount for the four of us to share, of course, we had two bottles of French red wine which also highlighted the evening.
The restaurant is small so reservations are recommended. Located in a cute neighborhood which I loved because most patrons were locals. Nothing worse than flying across the country to find yourself dining at a tourist trap.
