CRU - Fun & Yummy
Stumbled upon CRU Wine Bar while in Plano, Texas. The ambiance was super chill, felt like I was in a huge wine cellar, dim lighting, cool vibes and lots of wine to choose from.
TJ, the wine connoisseur, greeted you with a smile which made you feel warm and invited. We enjoyed the wine flight of Rose, 3 different varieties , 2 ounces each, a delightful experience. Decided on a favorite Rose , TJ made sure our glasses were never empty.
While sampling your wine I suggest sharing a few appetizers:
Heirloom & Burrata salad- OMG - flavor bounces off the tongue. Great balance of oil & vinegar, the homemade burrata did not disappoint.
Pear & Gorgonzola Pizza- Yummy, need I say more. The pear was not too sweet, the cheese not too bitter, a sublime combination and the pizza crust light and crispy.
Tuna Tartare - Not impressed. Black olives and raw tuna , not a great mix.
Overall experience-Fabulous, ha, we went back the next night. I highly suggest an evening at CRU.
